Sanook @ Plaza Kelana Jaya

This is the second place which I had visited within the month which offers All-U-Can-Eat Pasta. And so coincidentally, it's located next to each other. The first being called Louisiana and this Sanook which is located at Plaza Kelana Jaya. Similar to Louisiana, the place serve Western and Asian cuisine and it's situated next to the lake. So the view is great at night or even lunch hour. No worries as there as canopy outside the place.

As you can see, the price for their pasta over here is RM12.90 where as Louisiana is RM14.90. So what is the different? Soup are refillable for both the restaurant but the salad for Sanook can only be ordered once. But let me tell you that the salad here is superb. Other than All-U-Can-Eat Pasta, they also serve set lunch both Asian and Western as seen above.

Milestone Soup - refillable
This place too served milestone soup and it's a strong appetizer too. The soup is warm and the ingredients like carrots, onions and tomato are so fresh and crunchy too.

Classic Caesar Salad with Crispy Bacon & Parmesan Cheese - one serving
Trust me, this salad is delicious. The salad is fresh and crispy with tomato and also anchovies. They sprinkle some salad dressing and also salted fish or sort on it. So it's a bit salty but very appetizing at the same time. Some sliced crispy bacon and Parmesan cheese on top of the salad is a complimentary to the whole salad. Sadly it's only one serving.

Cobb Garden Salad with Balsamic Vinagretta- one serving
Although this salad isn't as good as the Ceasar but still it's very refreshing. I mean the salad is fresh and there is lots of sliced tomato, anchovies and capsicum. Sometimes simple is good.

Penne Pesto with Smoked Salmon & Black Olives
So how did we ordered our pasta? As usual, from the top of the list. First is the Penne Pesto which felt really strong on the olives oil. Oily but if you like olives oil, then it's your choice. I quite like this plate of pasta.

Amatriciana with Beef Bacon, Fresh Basil & Parmigiana
One word, Salty! I am not sure but from this dish onward, most of their pasta are so darn salty. I mean other then the salty part, it's really a decent plate of parmigiana. Maybe if you don't eat all the sauce, it would be better.

Spaghetti Vongole with Clams in Garlic Sauce & Cilantro
Damn the name of the pastas are so darn Italian. Can't even imagine what are we having before the dish arrived on our table. Well for this pasta, it's very appetizing as there were a lot of garlic and olives oil in it.

Pollo & Funghi Chicken with Mushroom in Pomodoro Sauce & Cream
Again, the name is so powerful. This is not bad as we ordered twice for this dish. It's a bit creamy but still tomato based pasta with mushroom. This is something new and refreshing.

Penne Arabiatta with Chilli Flakes & Pomodoro
Again, they are using tomato or pomodoro based sauce for the pasta. But this time around it's slightly spicy as they had added some sort of chili flakes on it. We ordered twice for this dish too. Not too bad but just salty.

Tonno e Cipolle Tuna Pasta in Opion & Garlic Sauce with Chilli & Cilantro
This is my first taste of pasta with tuna in it with garlic sauce. It's really refreshing but if you hate tuna, then this is not your plate of pasta. Not too oily but just nice. The chili too add a bit of spiciness to the pasta.

Bolognese Pasta with Beef & Chicken
Last but not least, the typical bolognese based pasta with beef and chicken. As I mentioned, most of their pasta is the same and almost tasted the same to me. I think I can't say much bout this but since it's all you can eat, might as well try it out to complete the whole course.

Spaghetti Pesto with Smoked Salmon & Black Olives
Look familiar? Yup, we re-ordered the Pesto but with Spaghetti rather then Penne. It's definitely tasted better with spaghetti. The smoked salmon is fresh and just nice and if you like anchovies, well, plenty of them in here. I am not sure why, but I seemed to be missing a picture of their Paesana with Turkey Ham & Capsicum in Tomato Sauce & Fresh Basil. But I swear that we ordered all of them. Weird.

At the end of the meal or 11 plates of pasta, three of us are all famish. Full as most of the pasta are too salty I guess. And the down side of the place is that, they don't serve any Carbonara or cream sauce in their list. They have a Carbonara in their ala-carte list which I heard isn't that half bad. They written or advertised 10 choices of pasta to choose but there are only 8 in their list. Another weird case. We did asked but didn't get an answer from the foreign waiter though. Overall, it's was alright, but sadly it was too salty for one and no cream sauce which I love a lot. Will come back to try out their ala-carte dinner soon and let you all know what I think of this place. (Rating: 3.8 out of 5.0)

Terrible serving speed. I took them > 1 hr to serv a appetizer soup and ~ 1 hr 30 mins for a Pasta.

I watch Korea vs Nigeria from 10th mins. The match finish my food come. The chef is like watch match more than cooking

I had dinner over at Louisiana but it was alright. Sanook, I only tried their lunch buffet. Seemed like the delay could be due to the World Cup fever. haha~! thanks for the feedback.

Cheers!
