Fatty Duck Teo Chew Stewed Duck - Taman Paramount

This is a placed which my brother like to visit a lot. As for me, I don't really fancy Stewed Duck but rather like Roasted Duck. But since it's so nice (according to them) so I think I might as well introduce this place for those who like Stewed Duck in Teo Chew style. The placed is located at the corner shop in Taman Paramount.
The place served rice and also their specialty white porridge which surprisingly tasted very good. It's those porridge with a lot of water rather than those thick one which I prefer. Their dishes is shown in front of the stall. So you can choose whatever you like and order.
So here's what my family had ordered for the night. This is their special salted vegetable which is a must if you eating here.
This is one of Teo Chew dish which you must order. It's their stewed eggs.
Here's the main dish. It's their Stewed Duck. The gravy is very tasty and not too thick. Meat was tender and not too dry. But still I like my duck roasted.
This is another must order dish which is the stewed pork. I am not sure if the gravy was the same as the eggs or not but it is really nice. You must mix the fat pork together when you order as it tasted better that way.
So what is Teo Chew dish without Tofu. What can I say, but it's soft. But I don't really dig this type of tofu though.

The whole dinner cost us RM52.80 and I think it's quite worth it with all the dishes that we ordered. There's vegetables, pork, duck and also eggs. What a balance good healthy dinner. And yes, we're all full and satisfied. But I prefer stewed pork which was prepared by my own grandma anytime. No doubt about it. (Rating: 3.5 out of 5.0)

Restaurant Ah Wa Vs. Damansara Hokkien Mee

There are two very special or some might called famous Hokkien Noodle restaurant in PJ area. For those who are as crazy as I am with Hokkien Noodle, should know these two places. The first is called Restaurant Ah Wa, which is located along Jalan 223. The restaurant is so famous that some of my friends came down from Klang just to taste it. The place is always packed with visitors around dinner time. As usual, their Hokkien Noodle is black and thick, just the way I like it. Like I always said, if it's not black, it's not Hokkien Noodle to me. I don't think that they are using charcoal to cook this but it's close to the real one. Fried lard is a must for me in my Hokkien Noodle. I think some of you out there do agree with me on this. What is Hokkien Noodle without fried lard? The more the merrier. lol~! Other then that, they have the usual vegetables and prawns. (Rating: 4.0 out of 5.0)
The other restaurant that I am referring to is called Damansara Famous Hokkien Mee. Yes, the name really do says it all. It's located at Damansara Uptown. Same row as Public Bank and behind Daroos. They do served other dishes like fried rice, Cantonese Noodles and Steamed Yee Mee. There is a stall next to it selling Peiking Duck which is really good too. So you can always mix this two together, which I always do.
The Hokkien Noodle at this restaurant is also black but not that thick. They prepared a whole big wok of it and divided it up to smaller portions. Not that appetizing if you are looking at it, but all places do that. The sad part bout this place is that, you need to pay extra if you wanted extra fried lard. What the hell~!!! But I was quite disappointed that their Hokkien Noodle do taste a bit salty sometimes (too much soya sauce??). Maybe due to the mass production during cooking. But you can see a lot of people sitting outside the stall during dinner hour. (Rating: 3.8 out of 5.0)

Ccozi & Friends - Sunway Pyramid

This place is located opposite Shih Ling inside Asia Avenue. So it isn't that hard to locate but if you really want to know it's exact location, it's Lot 127, F1 Asia Avenue. The place is called Ccozi & Friends. They served Korean streets food which is not bad from the pictures I saw in their menu. So I thought why not give it a try. We ordered one of their famous DDOCK BOK KI & Original Chicken Fried combo. Ddock Bok Ki simply means sliced rice cake. This is one of their famous street delicacy according to CP. So it's a must try. According to LP the dish was quite spicy. Don't really think but maybe it's just me. The fried chicken is very crunchy although it's covered with lots of their special sauce. (RM9.50)
Next LP ordered their Old-Time Korean Student Lunch Box. I think she's misses the time her mom made of this for her. lol~! Anyway it consists of steamed rice with egg, sliced chicken sausage and tuna kimchi. Just like it said, a student lunch box. And they really served it in a traditional lunch box too. Sweet. (RM8.00)
CP had ordered their DDOCK BOK KI with Korean Pancake with Squid. Another plate of Ddock Bok Ki was really too much for me. As it's very filling. But the pancake was quite nice but lacks ingredients. A little bit more prawns and squid won't hurt, right? lol~! (RM11.00)As if he's not already full, CP had also ordered another meal which is their famous Tuna Kimchi Mixed Rice or they called it Bimbibap. It's also one of their local delicacy as the food is served in a stone bowl which kept the warmth of the rice. I don't really dig kimchi so I have no comment on this dish.

Overall, the food over was nice and new for me. But maybe I stick with Japanese or Taiwan dishes as I don't really fancy Kimchi that much. And Kimchi is their famous delicacy. Ironic~! (Rating: 3.8 out of 5.0)

Right 4 U - Damansara Jaya

I should have blog bout this place few months back but was too lazy to do so. Well anyway, here goes. The place I am referring about is called Right 4 U which is located at No.27, Jalan SS22/19, Damansara Jaya. They served a lot of nutrition food which they claimed can be categorized according to your blood group. Yup, so each menu had it's blood group written on it. But no worries if you're eating something which doesn't fall under yours. It's just fun to know I guess. So as usual, there will always be the Cabonara appearing in my food review as long as the place served them. The Cabonara over here is quite alright as you can choose between beef bacon or chicken. It's quite creamy and the beef bacon are quite tender too. But I still prefer Pizza Uno or Bruno's more.Next is the Seafood Mariana with Tomato Sauce. Well on first glance, it looked like mee goreng tomato at some mamak stall. Sorry if it's too harsh. But the taste was also quite plain normal for me. Nothing special here. This is the Grilled Chicken with Cheese Sauce which I ordered. Presentation wise, it's acceptable for me. But the chicken breast was a bit dry for me. The sauce was nice but it still wasn't able to save the whole meal. Wasted~!
This is the Tom Yam Fried Rice which we ordered as side dish. Yes, side dish as we're really that hungry. Normal fried rice with a lot of chilly leaves. Not bad but not for me as I prefer mine with a lot of belacan.

Overall the place do served some nice decent dishes and the price range are quite reasonable considering it's location and it's air condition. Good place for wasting time sipping some hot tea while reading some mags I guess. (Rating: 3.5 out of 5.0)
